Managing Director

Stuart brings over 28 years construction experience to the table. Hard working, energetic and always very passionate, he thrives on the onsite challenge of solving the seemingly impossible access issues, which are thrown at him by his huge following of loyal customers. Himself and his team strongly value continuous growth and improvement, which in turn prevents the business from becoming stagnant, striving to improve systems, processes but most of all providing amazing service with quality workmanship for our clients on every project.

He is an experienced Advanced Scaffolder and also has his Rope Access Level 1 qualification. He spent many of his early years in the UK with Waco Kwikform as a Supervisor and at Scaffolding Great Britain Nottingham Branch (SGB) where he cut his teeth as a Trainee Manager before moving to Sydney. Spending 5 years at Karabiner Access as Specialist Access Project Manager he furthered his knowledge with swing stages, special engineered projects, different types of scaffolding and developed a successful new division within that company. In 2009 he open the doors at Total Access Solutions and is now ruffling the feathers of the state’s leaders within the access industry. In 2017 Total Access Solutions won 2 local Business Awards within the Sutherland Shire one of which was the overall ‘Business of the Year’ award.

Jo Mullen

Operations Manager

Jo has spent many years managing businesses in the building industry, and enjoys the challenge that Total Access Solutions offers in the industry that is scaffolding, height safety and rope access.  She has a firm but fair nature and has gained massive respect within our business.

During her time with Total Access Solutions, Jo has spent her time managing all facets of the inner workings of TAS including but by no means limited to contractual reviews, human resource management and has strong leadership. Initially running the office, and then branching out to the operational side of the business, it is with an keen eye that TAS runs all business dealings with a great deal of professionalism.

Now with the support of Leanne and Rebecca, our office team offer a friendly approach to customer support and strong commitment to supporting our clients.

Matt Etcell

Estimator - Rope Access

Matt brings over 12 years’ experience in construction to the company. Loyal and hardworking, Matt has been with Total Access for over 5 years. In this time, he has shown his abilities from starting as a Level 1 rope tech through to a rope access estimator/ project manager. Matt shows his full potential when faced with access challenges by his unsure clients. “We pride ourselves in coming up with a solution and spending the time with our clients, when our competitors wont.”

 

Matt began his working career in 2006 as an apprentice plumber. He finished his trade in 2010 and began working for himself as a sub- contractor. When a rain day arose, he contacted Stuart from TAS and lined up a day of labouring work. After a day’s work, an idea turned into a reality and Matt completed his Level 1 rope access course. Matt was quite fresh to the rope access industry and it showed!  But after some hard work and dedication he got in the swing of things and progressed quickly.

“After coming from the plumbing industry, I wasn’t familiar with rope access nor the jobs that we would get asked to do. We have done all sorts of work from painting, rendering, concreting, lighting, rigging, signage, gas inspections etc. It’s the diversity that keeps me interested and finding a solution for our clients”.

Over the years, Matt has worked his way into an estimating role and now spends most of his time quoting jobs. Occasionally he gets out on the ropes to dust off the cobwebs, but with the rope division pumping its hard to find the time.

Ian Taylor

Estimator - Scaffold

Ian Taylor joined Total Access Solutions two years ago initially as Leading Hand and has developed his skill set to become our Senior Estimator.

Ian has over 18 years experience in the construction industry in many facets; he is an Advanced Scaffolder, Rigger and Crane Operator and holds a Heavy Vehicle Licence. His experience also includes bridge builds and maintenance. He displays many quality attributes Total Access Solutions value and is committed to the safety and growth of our team and subsequent clients.

Attention to detail and above standard problem solving skills means no job is too big or small and each treated by Ian with equal importance and pride; he particularly enjoys complexed builds offering him a personal challenge. Ian has has the ability to create a professional rapport with all clients and continues to grown and learn in the industry which in turn develops our business.

Greg Malaki

Supervisor - Scaffold

Greg brings 15 years of scaffold experience, over 5 years as a supervisor and has been with the company for the past 9 years.  He has been by the Managing Directors side since the day the company started, through good times and bad, and is truly the face of Total Access.  He eat, sleeps and breaths the company values and is a huge reason for our ongoing success.  His knowledge, skills and growth over the last few years has been incredible.

His vast experience serves him well in his Supervisory role, he is advanced scaffolder with vast knowledge in modular steel and aluminium scaffolding, tube and fitting and also swinging stages.  He is also a qualified roof plumber and has good sound carpentry skills and also brings that valuable industry knowledge to our Total Access team.   Greg is committed to servicing all clients to the best of his ability by building the safest scaffolds, always on time, meeting and more often than not exceeding our clients expectations.

Greg prides himself on his communication skills on every job he does whether it be coordinating with clients, solving issues, organising transport and the final product of supplying a safe and functional scaffold.  He is firm but fair with his team and is a pleasure to be around as he always has a positive can do attitude and never without a smile on his face.   He manages a team of 20 and at the busy times up to 30 guys, a mixture of experienced scaffolders and labourers on daily basis.  He also organises and allocates labour and also booking in jobs within the scaffold division and is still always prepared to ‘jump on the tools’ and show the lads how its done!

Rob Garland

Estimator

Rob joined Total Access Solutions in 2016 and brought with him over 10 years of supervisory and estimation experience.

Rob is an Advanced Scaffolder with a strong back ground working away in on and off shore oil and gas plants.  During his time working away Rob learn his craft of tight and difficult access solutions in both tube and fit as well as many types of system scaffolds.  On his return to Sydney in 2016 Rob worked as a leading hand for Total Access Solutions. Rob has now moved in to an estimation role and is thriving at the opportunity to make access issues simple for all his clients.  Rob is always happy to quote or advise on any project no matter how big, small or difficult.

Leanne is a conscientious, positive and fun to be around!  She is excited by the challenges of a fast growing business.

Having worked in both wholesale and retail in the past, Leanne is committed to excellence in customer service and has become a very valuable member of the family.

Daniel Kirk

Rope Access Supervisor

Dan brings 6 years of rope access experience and over 10 years of working and leading groups in mountainous terrain, to the Total Access family. He has a great eye for safety as well as for detail for any job. Being committed to safety is why he thrives at Total Access Solutions where safety comes before anything.

Dan also has a successful proven record with managing jobs, from organizing materials and tools to communicating with clients and meeting/surpassing expectations. Every business should have an ethos and values that lead how they work and underpinning that is the team that live those values. Dan has been instrumental in developing our values and as such fits the team perfectly.

Dan’s commitment to Total Access Solutions is only matched by his commitment to growing his knowledge base with rope access. He has achieved his level 3 IRATA qualification and will be revalidating this year. He thrives on new challenges, one of which is to start a training division within Total Access Solutions.

Rob Preston

Yard Foreman

Bobby has worked with Total Access Solutions for over 4 years now and started out as the yard assistant and now runs the yard and is responsible for 2 team members.  Bobby served 10 years in the military and has always been involved in warehousing as a general hand or as a warehouse supervisor.

Always the first to arrive at the yard (sometimes at 3.30am!) Bobby has very high standards, is incredibly committed to his role and the business and is largely responsible for the high level of service we provide our clients.

Bobby says… “I believe I have a great work ethic, will always go the extra mile and wouldn’t ask anyone in my control to do something that I haven’t done or am not prepared to do myself”.

His duties involve picking of gear lists, loading and unloading of TAS Vehicles, running the Yard so it runs smoothly and effectively, delegating work to anyone assigned to work in the yard, liaising with Customers and Suppliers.  He is actively involved with the day to day running of the scaffold division and of his most important roles is liaising with the Scaffold Supervisor, estimators and of course, to ensure scaffold goes out in the correct sequence, to the right address and on time every time.
